In 2006, Mrs. Hoori Sadler established the Persian American Cancer Institute, a non-profit, non-denominational organization. Mrs. Sadler, a cancer survivor, and her organization aim to reduce the impact of cancer today and eliminate the threat of cancer tomorrow.

In the Persian culture, cancer is looked upon as a taboo, a shameful death sentence. The physical survival of cancer is only part of the battle; there is also an emotional, torturous, lonely journey that one usually has to endure.

PACI aspires to pave the road to healing and serve as a reminder that you are not alone, and that there is indeed life after cancer.

Our organization strongly believes that love, compassion and hope are vital to the fight against cancer. Fear and shame do not exist where there is awareness, knowledge and hope.
